Kenneth Kim is currently the Department Chair and Professor of Culture Contents
Department at Hanyang University in Korea. His research and teaching activities have
focus on the field of media and entertainment. He has published number of researches
including – media, pop culture, drama, animation and theme park. His research, “Present
and Future of MCN Business was recognized as Top 1% most read research paper during
2016 by Dbpia. He received Grand Prize for Best PBL Curriculum by ERICA PBL and
Best Operated Program by National PBL Contest in 2017.
Prior to the University, he spent over 20 years as a professional in the industries in the
companies including Samsung, CJ and Walt Disney Company. At Samsung, he was
responsible for planning and building theme park and resort complex call Everland. He
was also a Vice President of Investment Banking Division at Samsung. During year
2000, he worked in number of operation areas for Disney World in Orlando. Finally, he
was the head of international business development and international sales at CJ. Mnet
Asian Music Awards and K-Con are some of the notable global events he co-created.
Kenneth received his MBA degree from Darden Business School, University of Virginia.
